9Bach - Tincian

Tincian is the second album by 9Bach, the group formed by Lisa Jen and Martin Hoyland. It's an atmospheric, emotional record that reflects their home environment of Gerlan, North Wales, and Tincian is the perfect description: it's an allusive Welsh word that travels through time and space. Internationalists at heart, nine of the ten songs on Tincian were written and sung in Cymraeg, the final track in Greek.

Britten - The Turn of the Screw

Released to mark the Britten anniversary year in 2013, this LSO Live recording features Richard Farnes making his conducting debut on the label with exceptional flair and authority. Composed in just four months in 1954, it was premiered at the Venice Biennale that year with Peter Pears singing the Prologue and role of Peter Quint. It is a rich experience, though maybe not for those of a nervous disposition.

A Guy Called Gerald

A Guy Called Gerald

An iconic name in dance music, A Guy Called Gerald kick started Europe’s acid house frenzy with his ’88 classic ‘Voodoo Ray’ and 'Pacific State' (as part of 808 State) and went on to lay down the blueprint for jungle / drum n bass.

Mahler Symphony No 2.

Mahler Symphony 2

The subtitle to Mahler’s second symphony is ‘Resurrection’. The precise meaning of this subtitle is hotly debated, but what is absolutely clear is that the symphony has a life changing and transformative power.

Ed harcourt selection

Ed Harcourt

Recorded in just six hours at the iconic Abbey Road Studios, the back to basics instrumentation really lets the words breathe on this latest studio album from English singer-songwriter Harcourt.

Binaural Recordings

Binaural Recordings

Accidental Powercut is a series of gigs commissioned to launch our P5 headphones. Musicians performed acoustically in the surrounds of St Barnabas Chapel, Soho and each concert was recorded binaurally allowing the atmosphere of the music to be recorded for perfect playback on headphones.

Berlioz Symphonie Fantastique

The LSO recorded the major works of Berlioz with Sir Colin Davis over more than a decade. One of the first releases was the Symphonie fantastiqiue recorded in 2000.

Berlioz Symphonie Fantastique

Syriana conjures up a soundscape of the busy Damascus streets and desert suns – with a touch of spy movie menace in the mix. Writing and recording the album took place in London and at Real World Studios. But it was a ten-day stretch in Damascus, the capital of Syria and the oldest continuously inhabited city in the world, that left an indelible mark.
